In Mexico, sustainable fisheries represent a dynamic system with high potential to drive social, economic and environmental transformations. Through a systems-based financing approach, impact investors and venture philanthropists can identify strategic interventions aligned with comprehensive sustainability criteria, such as recovery of overfished species, protection of marine habitats, traceability, full utilization of the resource, inclusive decision-making and the well-being of fishing communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Value chain challenges are clear opportunities for philanthropic and impact capital to act as a driver of regeneration of marine ecosystems and social fabrics. This report presents investment verticals and collaborative models that generate shared value, community resilience and inclusive governance along the entire fishery chain. Thus, financial actors can lead this transition, recognizing that fisheries sustainability is not just an end, but an investment strategy with multiple returns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
