The Culture Fund manages and allocates financial resources, human capital and knowledge tools that contribute to the social, cultural and artistic development of specific communities. We are currently working with Fundación SURA on the 'Cultura Latinoamérica' call for proposals, aimed at nine countries in the region, where 15 cultural and artistic projects were selected on a bi-national basis.

In this initiative, 15 cultural and artistic projects were selected, formed in a bi-national manner between countries such as Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Chile, Panama and the Dominican Republic, each with financing of up to US$100,000.

These are the selected 2024 projects

Throughout this process, financial, administrative and technical support has been provided through capacity building sessions. These sessions addressed key issues such as structuring cultural projects, theory of change and measurement, impact communication and financial sustainability in the cultural sector.

Transforming cultural initiatives in the territories

Based on the activities developed by the fund for the selected projects. The integral binational impact that we are generating with the deployment of the program in the territories is highlighted. As a result, we have identified that this impact encompasses 3 key dimensions:

  • Cultural outreach: strengthening of selected cultural organizations participating in the creative and training processes.
  • Social outreach: work with ethnic communities, migrants, victims of forced displacement and groups with a gender focus.
  • Economic scope: mobilization of financial resources, consolidation of work teams and dynamization of the productive chain derived from the cultural sector.

We plan to close the Cultura Latinoamérica initiative by November 2025.
