The power of building together

Dear Latimpacters,

In Manaos, during Impact Minds, leaders from more than 30 countries took the time to listen to each other, share questions and think together—something hard to find on our schedules. I remember the hugs, the frank conversations, and the willingness to step out of the known. That closeness builds the trust we need to dare to do more.

The strength of Latimpacto is in bringing together those who own, manage and deploy capital. Family businesses, foundations, corporations, investors and multilateral organizations come together around questions that matter today, to make the capital we already have work better together, to share risks and to think increasingly about what we can do together. These are conversations that can change how we decide and with whom we build.

The experience of RegeneraRS, which Beatriz Johannpeter, an integral member of our Board of Directors, shares in Alliance, This shows the potential of that collaboration: mobilizing resources equivalent to about ten times their initial philanthropic capital. For our part, listening to the indigenous fund Podáali invited us to recognize the ability of communities to decide what is funded and how. Bringing these perspectives closer together enriches our way of acting.

Our work doesn’t stop at Impact Minds. We are committed to continuing those relationships, bringing like-minded peers together with common challenges, sharing knowledge, and developing partnerships, programs, and vehicles that allow us to act together. Being part of Latimpacto means being able to test a decision, find complementary capabilities, and contribute to a shared agenda. It means knowing that we have others to move forward with what matters to us.

We are a Latin American network with a global reach And our purpose is to connect the realities and knowledge of our region with experiences and relationships on a global level. That connection expands our possibilities to learn, find allies, and build responses that transcend borders. Now we are preparing to travel to China with 15 Latimpacters. It will be an opportunity to get up close to how innovation, philanthropy, and investment are intertwined, to share the experiences of our region, and to explore new ways of collaboration. We want to return with learnings and relationships that enrich the work of our entire community.

Thanks to those who bring life to this movement. To those who were in Manaos and to those we want to add. I invite you to bring your Challenges and our ambition: let’s start today to build what we can do together.
