Today we have the perfect reason to reaffirm our commitment as women who work for collaboration and impact, to mobilize for actions that favor gender equity and respond to achieve the goals set out in SDG 5.
Every day we face challenges that require our capacity for analysis, the courage to face challenges that seem impossible, the desire to overcome every obstacle and reach the goal to connect purposes, wills and projects around the world. And undoubtedly, the challenge of demonstrating our capacity for transformation to all actors in society, where stigmatization and prejudice still remain in some minds.
Being able to contribute to a positive social, economic and environmental impact, which in turn involves the financial world, opens up opportunities for us to unite a clear feminine sensibility and participate in the capital market, which has traditionally been dominated by men.
The rise of innovative finance opens up opportunities for the disappearance of the conservative mentality that relegates women to merely philanthropic spaces. As a result, 61% of women between the ages of 30 and 40 choose their investments based on their social or environmental impact (AndSimple).
As women, we have an immense responsibility to give a different direction to investments. Raising our voices to call for the participation of all men and women in impact issues is a necessity that should unite us as a society. Today the world requires clear inclusion and equity if we want to advance in true social and environmental transformations.
