Latimpacto and The Resource Foundation (TRF) Forge Strategic Partnership to Boost Social Impact in Latin America

Bogota, January 19, 2024 - Latimpacto is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with The Resource Foundation (TRF) to accelerate philanthropic and impact investments across the region.

Latimpacto is a community that brings together nearly 200 actors that deploy capital with an impact lens to social and environmental impact initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean. The Resource Foundation (TRF), a recognized ally among donors in the United States, facilitates effective, locally informed philanthropy strategies and expert advice on various grantmaking options and strategies.

This collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both organizations. TRF, with its expertise in understanding donor perspectives, will work closely with Latimpacto to identify and explore funding opportunities and trends within the Latin American context. Latimpacto's extensive network will provide TRF members with the opportunity to present projects and initiatives during its Showcase Days, fostering collaboration and addressing funding gaps.

As part of the collaboration, Latimpacto will provide TRF with detailed information about its two innovative funds: the Green Catalytic Fund and the Diversi-steam Fund. This information will enable TRF to present these funding options to its donors, improving transparency and accessibility in the philanthropic landscape.

Additionally, there are plans to organize a webinar or session on Funding Gaps and Opportunities in Latin America, where Latimpacto will provide information on the regional ecosystem. TRF will actively engage its donor community by extending invitations to participate in this informative space.

Carolina Suarez, CEO of Latimpacto, said about the collaboration with The Resource Foundation, stating: "At Latimpacto, our mission is to help mobilize more capital for initiatives with an impact lens, and partnering with The Resource Foundation allows us to leverage our mission as two organizations committed to the development and empowerment of communities in Latin America, especially those in vulnerable situations. This collaboration will allow us to better connect donors to meaningful projects, leverage strategic funding, and ultimately maximize the impact of social and environmental investments in our region.

Beatriz Guillen, Executive Director of TRF, mentions: "We are very excited to collaborate with Latimpacto, a leader in the Latin American social investment landscape. By combining our resources and expertise, we can create a more strategic and impactful approach to philanthropy and investment. Together, we can address pressing issues and contribute to positive change in the region.

We will share more news about the progress and achievements of this strategic alliance in the near future. This is just the beginning of a joint journey towards significant change in the region.
