We are very excited about the designation of Cali, Colombia as the host of the next Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP16). As one of the megadiverse countries in the region, this designation has a very important impact for Colombia and the entire region.
This COP 16 will follow up on the commitments of the Global Biodiversity Framework and will reactivate the conversation on how to advance resources for the monitoring of this framework and, among other things, also achieve greater mobilization of impact capital for the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of natural capital, so important for the well-being of humanity.
At Latimpacto, we are committed to fostering a message of unity and collaboration across the capital spectrum, with the goal of engaging impact organizations, especially Latin American investors and donors, in biodiversity and nature conservation work in ways that align and intersect with their interests.
In addition, we will strive to act as multipliers so that our members who carry out exemplary work on climate and conservation issues can promote, make visible and share their experience and impact.
